One of the best things I’ve ever done in my writing life is to go on creative writing courses. Why have they been so beneficial? Well, I’ve learnt invaluable stuff from the tutors, been given time away from the hurly-burly of everyday life to spend time with my writing, visited interesting places and met many lovely writers who I am now honoured to call friends.
And so, what I’d like to say is please do join me and the very lovely Annabelle Thorpe at Writers @ The White House in Kalkan in May 2018!
We are especially lucky that Marion & Halil have made The White House available to us.
Tucked away in the heart of Kalkan Old Town, one of the most beautiful villages on the Lycian Coast, The White House sits among a lattice of winding cobbled streets and whitewashed houses with shuttered windows and balconies draped in bright bougainvillea blooms. The colourful local shops, cafés, roof terrace and harbour-side bars and restaurants all offer warm and traditional Turkish hospitality. For more images click HERE.
Your week will start with your arrival on Saturday 26th May 2018 and end with your departure on Saturday 2nd June 2018 and will include:
- 7 nights bed & breakfast
- 6 morning workshops
- A one-to-one critique on a maximum of 5,000 words
- A designated Writers’ Hub overlooking Kalkan Bay with tea and coffee available all day
- Final night dinner
The course is designed for 12 aspiring and/or established writers.
